To reach the power potential of the 6.0/6.4 Power Stroke the camshaft timing must change. In order to do so this cam core must be brand new to have enough material so we can move the lobes to proper valve timing needed to achieve the correct valve events to make efficient and smooth power.Nobody can take an OEM core and grind it to the the valve events needed to maximize this engine families potential.
In factory and MOST aftermarket form the cam profile lets boost in before the piston is @TDC causing extreme force in airflow in the wrong direction from the piston. So the more boost you add to the engine the more this becomes a multiplying issue. To PROPERLY address this situation is a MAJOR was needed to be made to valve timing events to combat against this issue and provide better engine pulse to drive the turbine and help engine ingest more efficient air into the engine.
